Draw rings and arrows on a frozen picture. Your parent sees them on their own screen.

A quick tap points at the spot, without freezing anything.
Numbered steps and stamps
Mark the order with 1, 2, 3. Stamp a tick, a cross or “Press here”.
Several pictures per call
Keep more than one frozen picture and switch between them.

Say it clearly

Large text
Send a short message in big letters.
Read aloud
The message can be read out loud on their phone.

Make it last

Guides
Steps from a call are saved as a picture guide for that appliance, ready for next time.
Notes
Leave notes on their phone, such as the wifi password.
Appliance list
Model and a link to the manual for each appliance, so you never ask “which model is it?” twice.

See when you helped and with what.

What helpers use it for

  • The TV is on the wrong input and the picture is gone
  • The router needs a restart, and there are six cables in the back
  • The washing machine shows an error code
  • A new remote, thermostat or coffee machine with too many buttons
  • Anything else they can point a phone camera at
